The Mouse (Drawing) Art Print

After surviving the great flood of Alice's tears—the one that turned a quiet conversation into a chaotic swim—this clever Mouse is taking no chances. Dressed sharp and ready for anything, he perches high on an overturned teacup for that extra bit of dry ground, umbrella raised and ready overhead. It's a perfect mix of cautious preparedness and quiet dignity: the little survivor who's learned his lesson and now stands tall (well, as tall as a teacup allows), gazing out with calm resolve. In Wonderland, even the smallest creatures know how to turn a soggy memory into a stylish comeback. This is a reproduction giclee print of 'The Mouse' drawing; reproduced from the Portraits of Wonderland - Original Drawings Collection by artist, Jeff Voeltner. From Jeff:  I created this piece as preparation and study for a larger oil painting that I am currently working on for my Portraits of Wonderland series—a series of paintings and drawings capturing the wonderful personalities of Lewis Carroll's two Alice books. My goal is to produce at least one piece for each and every character in the books, creating a collection of at least thirty-five pieces. For the Mouse, I wanted to give a little nod to his dramatic entry into the story, swept up in the pool of tears. Giving him a proper umbrella and a teacup pedestal felt like the perfect way to let him prepare for whatever might fall next PRINT: Printed on premium Giclée Paper – a heavyweight, 100% cotton fine art paper with a fully matte finish and subtle texture.
