Pothos, Epipremnum aureum (Devil’s Ivy) – Easy-Care Indoor Vining Plant

🌿 Epipremnum aureum (Devil’s Ivy) – Easy-Care Indoor Vining Plant Description The Epipremnum aureum, more commonly known as Devil’s Ivy or Pothos, is one of the easiest and most forgiving houseplants you can grow. Its trailing vines, adorned with lush green leaves featuring unique tannish-white variegation along the edges, make it perfect for brightening up shelves, desktops, or hanging baskets. This variety of pothos has shorter, more rounded leaves than the standard form, giving it a softer, fuller appearance. Native to the tropical forests of Southeast Asia, this plant is also an excellent natural air purifier, helping to improve indoor air quality while adding beauty to your space. USDA Growing Zones Zones: 10–12 outdoors in frost-free climates All zones indoors as a tropical houseplant Care Guide Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light but can adapt to low light; too little light may reduce variegation. Water: Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry out before watering; do not let roots sit in water. Humidity: Average household humidity is fine; appreciates occasional misting. Temperature: Prefers 60–85°F; protect from cold drafts. Soil: Well-draining potting mix with added perlite or orchid bark for aeration. Fertilizer: Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer. Pruning: Trim regularly to control length and encourage fuller growth. Toxicity: Toxic to pets and humans if ingested—keep out of reach.
