Porthole Creator - Avast Marine

The Porthole Creator Bundle, a better way to shoot your reef. The Porthole Creator Mark II transforms your smartphone into a high-fidelity marine documentation tool. Whether you are a professional storyteller or a dedicated hobbyist, the Creator system is engineered to eliminate the two biggest obstacles in reef photography: surface distortion and blue wash lighting. This is not just a mount; it is a professional grade interface designed to capture the true to life beauty of your aquarium with zero hassle. Key Features True Color Capture: Stop fighting your LEDs. The Creator’s internal 52mm aluminum filter thread allows you to use professional grade color correction, neutral density and polarizing filters. Achieve perfect color saturation and clarity directly on your sensor. This eliminates the need for heavy post processing and removes the blue wash from your photos. Optical Centering and MagSafe Alignment: The Creator Cradle is precision engineered to align the main camera lens of the iPhone directly in the center of the optical tube. High strength magnets ensure this alignment is instant and perfectly centered every time you snap it into place. 100mm MIIM Architecture: The Creator system features the same 100mm heavy-duty threading as our professional Studio line. This modular design lets you easily add Focal Tuning Extensions to clear deep tank rims or gear without losing stability. Integrated Rigging Points: Designed for the "Run-and-Gun" creator. Two 1/4-20 brass heat-set inserts let you build a complete mobile rig by mounting external handles, lights, camera straps or tripods for stable 4K video. Advanced Light-Lock Shielding: Ambient glare from overhead aquarium lights can wash out your colors. The Creator Cradle has an integrated light shield that eliminates reflections, ensuring deep, vibrant color straight from the sensor. Ionic Air-Cleaned Optics: Just like our professional Studio gear, every Creator component undergoes our ionic-exchange cleaning process. We ensure all components are free of debris before they contact your water or glass, maintaining the pristine environment needed for high-resolution macro capture. Universal iPhone Support: Precision-engineered to support the modern iPhone era. Optimized for iPhone 17 through iPhone 12, covering all Standard, Pro, and Pro Max models. Document Your Journey: You don’t need to be a professional filmmaker to appreciate the Porthole Creator Mark II. It’s the quickest way for every reef keeper to capture clear, color-accurate photos to track their reef’s progress, share a "what is this?" photo with a local club, or list a frag for sale with a picture that truly shows the coral’s beauty. It also transforms your phone into a powerful diagnostic microscope for your tank. From Top-Down to Forward-Facing: There are times when we want to capture our reef head-on, and with the new Porthole Creator, that's possible. Simply unscrew the lower lens assembly, then attach the phone to your cradle directly to take glare-free photos and videos using your 52mm filters. The Porthole Creator Bundle includes the Mark II Lower Lens Assembly, iPhone Creator Cradle, our 16,000k Lens Filter, and two dust caps for both the wet-side optics and the dry-side filter interface.
