Portable AC Through-Wall Vent Kit - Direct Tube Attachment (Type G)

EASY VENT KIT INSTALLATION Type G Vent Kits allow you to vent your house, garage, or RV in about an hour. The kit is easy to install and requires no screws, making the process fast and convenient. The external slanted vent slats prevent rain from entering the vent, protecting your interior from moisture damage. In addition to rain protection, the built-in insect screen blocks entry for critters larger than 2 mm. The insect screen holes are designed to balance between preventing pests and maintaining good airflow. The small holes ensure the air conditioner works efficiently without sacrificing ventilation. This feature makes the vent kit practical for multiple environments and seasons. A screw-on plug is provided for off-season sealing of the vent port. This ensures your home or RV stays insulated during colder months when the air conditioner is not in use. The plug is easy to install and remove, providing simple seasonal maintenance. The Type G Vent Kit is crafted to suit a variety of settings, including houses, garages, and RVs. It is ideal for those needing an efficient exhaust solution for portable air conditioners. Its ease of installation and thoughtful design make it a popular choice. The slanted vent slats are engineered to block rain while allowing effective airflow. This design protects your living space from weather damage while maintaining optimal vent performance. It also helps reduce buildup of dirt, leaves, and debris around the vent. The included insect screen keeps critters out without restricting airflow. This means better air exchange and cooler indoor temperatures. It is especially useful for RV owners who spend time in nature and want to prevent pests from entering through the vent. Installation Tips When installing your vent kit, first locate a suitable wall location free of obstructions inside and outside. Use a stud finder to avoid cutting into wall studs. Mark the hole position carefully with a circle center finder to ensure a precise cut. Choose the correct hole saw size based on your kit type - 150 mm for the 5 inch kits or 165 mm for the 6 inch kits. Make sure your saw is sharp and stable to create a clean hole. A clean cut helps with the vent's seal and fit. After cutting the hole, insert the vent and secure it without using screws, as the design allows for a snug fit. Use Dicor sealant (black or white depending on your surface) to seal both the interior and exterior of the vent flange. This prevents leaks and enhances durability. Maintaining Your Vent Kit Seasonal maintenance is important for keeping your vent kit functioning well over time. When the air conditioner is not in use, use the provided screw-on plug to seal the vent port. This stops drafts, pests, and debris from entering your home or RV. Regularly check the insect screen for dust or blockages and clean as needed to maintain airflow. Inspect the vent slats periodically to ensure they remain intact and free of damage. Proper maintenance extends kit life and keeps your cooling system efficient.
