Porsche 911 (992) Performance Intercooler (BOX39 Platform) – C&R Intercooler Matrix

LEVEL Engineering Intercooler For Porsche 992 (BOX39 Platform) – C&R Intercooler Matrix The LEVEL Engineering Intercooler for Porsche 992 is engineered to significantly outperform the factory intercooler by increasing core size, airflow capacity, and pressure resistance while reducing unnecessary weight. Compared to the OEM unit, the LEVEL intercooler features a 31% larger intercooler core volume, increasing from 6,719 cm³ (OEM) to 9,733.9 cm³, resulting in improved heat dissipation and more stable intake air temperatures under load. Airflow efficiency is substantially improved through enlarged flow areas: Atmospheric airflow area increased from 725.6 cm² to 843.3 cm² Charge air flow area increased from 245.6 cm² to 323.5 cm² These increases allow for greater air mass flow with reduced restriction, supporting higher boost levels and consistent performance. The intercooler is manufactured using precision CNC-milled aluminum with thin-wall construction, enabling it to withstand higher pressure levels while weighing less than the factory component. A high-performance C&R intercooler matrix is used, featuring thicker outer corrugated layers for enhanced protection against environmental impact, while thinner inner layers optimize heat transfer efficiency. Integrated internal flow guides within the manifolds ensure even air distribution across the entire core, maximizing cooling effectiveness and minimizing pressure drop. Designed as a direct replacement, the LEVEL intercooler retains factory mounting points for easy installation and OEM-level fitment. The system also allows for the integration of water-methanol injection, making it suitable for both street-driven vehicles and high-performance applications. Performance Advantages Over OEM: 31% larger core volume (9,733.9 cm³ vs. 6,719 cm³) Increased atmospheric airflow area (+117.7 cm²) Increased charge air flow area (+77.9 cm²) Higher pressure resistance with reduced weight Improved thermal efficiency and airflow distribution The LEVEL Engineering Intercooler delivers a measurable upgrade in cooling capacity and airflow, making it an essential component for Porsche 992 owners seeking reliable performance gains beyond factory limits.
