This super vibrant turquoise and royal blue Poppies hat is the perfect item to throw on your head as you head out the door for some good old-fashioned nature time! Because it will keep your head protected from the sun and maybe some slight rain, snow! So go ahead and rock this hat in the desert, on the beach, or while you hike up that mountain. It's also pretty lightweight, making it easy to roll up and stuff in your day pack.  Poppies  Genealogically speaking, poppies have close family ties to plants that hung out with the dinosaurs! Botanists divide poppies into almost 800 species grouped into 42 genera and those are just the wild species! They range in height from less than an inch high, to over 20 feet tall. Smaller than the tip of your thumb or larger than your favorite dinner plate - they come in almost all colors of the rainbow. Poppies, like many flowers, are threatened by the use of powerful herbicides and modern farming techniques. The yellow horned-poppy is protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, in the UK.  While the California poppy isn't threatened it is illegal to pick them.  #optoutside #protectnature #wecanmakeadifference #wearethesolution #changeyourperspective #yourvoiceispowerful #yourvotematters Note - in early March we will be transitioning in a new KH logo to some of our hats. Please note you will get one of two logos - please do not request a specific one - they ship from the warehouse and we have no way of knowing. Either are great!!    Generating awareness around threatened species and wildlands through affordable and functional art.
