Popovics' Bucktail Deceiver

Popovics’ Bucktail Deceiver – Montana Fly Company Developed by saltwater fly tying pioneer Bob Popovics, the Bucktail Deceiver is a streamlined baitfish imitation with lifelike movement and unmatched versatility. Built with layers of premium bucktail, this pattern maintains its shape in the water while delivering a natural, flowing action that mimics everything from anchovies to smelt. Whether you're chasing stripers in the surf, pike in freshwater, or any aggressive predator in between, the Bucktail Deceiver casts easily, swims beautifully, and holds up to repeated strikes. Tied on a strong, corrosion-resistant hook, it's equally at home in salt or freshwater. Simple, effective, and time-tested—Popovics’ Bucktail Deceiver is a must-have for any serious streamer angler.
