Poolife Calcium Plus, 8 lb Bag

Give your pool water the calcium support it needs with Poolife™ Calcium Plus. This high-purity calcium chloride formula raises calcium hardness to help protect your pool’s walls, floor, plumbing, and equipment, especially in plaster and concrete pools. Protect pool surfaces and equipmentBalanced calcium hardness is an important part of complete pool care. When calcium levels are too low, water can become aggressive toward pool surfaces and equipment. Poolife Calcium Plus helps you bring calcium hardness back into range and support a more stable water balance. High-purity formula: Quickly raises calcium hardness when used as directed. Surface and equipment protection: Helps protect plumbing, heaters, fittings, metal fixtures, and pool surfaces from corrosive water conditions. For multiple pool types: Suitable for vinyl, fiberglass, plaster, and concrete pools, including saltwater pools. Easy dosing: Use the included dosage chart based on your pool size and current calcium hardness level. How to use Poolife Calcium Plus Test your pool water to determine the current calcium hardness level. Use the dosage chart on the label to calculate the amount needed. With the pump running, broadcast the product evenly over the deep end of the pool. Allow the water to circulate for several hours after application. Retest after 24 hours and make additional adjustments only if needed. As a general product guideline, aim for calcium hardness between 200 and 500 ppm, unless your pool surface, equipment manufacturer, test kit, or chemical label specifies a different target. Add Poolife Calcium Plus separately from pH adjusters, alkalinity increasers, or other balancing chemicals, and follow the product label for handling and application instructions. Frequently asked questionsWhy is calcium hardness important?Proper calcium hardness helps reduce the risk of corrosive water conditions that can affect pool surfaces, tile grout, heaters, plumbing, and metal fixtures. It also helps reduce calcium leaching from plaster surfaces. How do I know if I need it?Test your water with a reliable test kit or test strips. If calcium hardness is below your recommended target, use the label dosage chart to determine how much Poolife Calcium Plus to add. Will it cloud the water? When applied and circulated as directed, the high-purity formula is designed to dissolve without clouding the water. How often should I test calcium hardness?Test at least monthly, after a large water refill or rainstorm, and whenever you are working to rebalance the pool. Can I add it with other balancing chemicals?Add it separately from other balancing chemicals and allow several hours between treatments to reduce the risk of unwanted chemical interaction or clouding. Can I swim after adding it?Follow the product label. Once the product has fully dissolved and the water has circulated for the label-recommended time, resume swimming only when the water is otherwise balanced and safe for use.
