Ponderosa MF

Ponderosa MF – Spacious Backcountry Sleeping Bag The Ponderosa MF is a spacious backcountry sleeping bag designed for campers who value room, comfort, and reliable warmth. With a wide semi-rectangular shape, it gives you the freedom to stretch, shift, or sprawl—all without sacrificing insulation. This bag is perfect for car camping, glamping, cabin stays, or backcountry trips where comfort takes priority. It’s filled with premium 850+ fill power goose down, offering high-loft warmth that compresses easily. At just 2 lbs 11 oz, it stays light enough to carry without weighing down your kit. The MicroLite XP™ shell adds durability and water resistance. It protects the down from condensation and damp conditions while maintaining breathability. Whether you’re tucked into a tent or sleeping under the stars, this bag keeps you warm and dry. A full-length #5 YKK zipper makes entry, exit, and ventilation easy, while a secondary footbox zipper allows the Ponderosa to unzip completely and lie flat as a large down comforter—ideal for changing temperatures or shared sleeping setups. Its size and versatility make it a top choice for side sleepers, restless campers, and anyone who dislikes the squeeze of a traditional mummy bag. If you’re used to turning over in your sleep or bundling up with extra layers, the Ponderosa makes it all feel natural. Proudly made in the USA, the Ponderosa MF is Western Mountaineering’s answer to big comfort in the backcountry. It blends luxury and function for campers who want more space, more options, and more restful nights outdoors.
