It absorbs dissolved organics, ammonia, heavy metals, medications, phosphates, and other pollutants while helping improve water clarity and overall water quality. A unique feature of Poly-Filter is that it changes color depending on the type of contaminant it is removing, making it easy to monitor when it is becoming exhausted and needs replacement. It can also help remove copper after medication treatments, making it a popular choice for reef aquariums and fish-only systems.
