POLset152 Polyhedroid Agate Slice

This Polyhedroid Agate slice is polished on both sides, making it perfect for custom jewelry use. It shows white banded agate at the center surrounded by translucent crystal. 48mm x 23mm 5mm thick Polyhedroid Agates were found in Paraiba, Brazil, but are now unavailable. They are a unique formation of agate, featuring naturally flat surfaces at a variety of different angles. They are believed to have formed in the negative spaces between large crystal blades of calcite or aragonite, and can occasionally feature multiple "chambers" where those blades eroded and adjacent agates fused together.
