Polly White Peach Tree

Polly White Peach Tree is a cold-country heirloom with the kind of quiet reliability that turns a fruit tree into a treasured part of the garden. Its medium peaches develop creamy white skin beneath a crimson blush, with sweet white flesh that becomes tender and flavorful as it ripens. The fruit is lovely fresh and versatile for canning, drying, preserves, pies, and cobblers, offering a useful crop rather than a single-purpose novelty. Polly is especially meaningful for growers whose unpredictable spring weather can challenge less resilient peaches. Its late flowering habit and notable cold tolerance helped it earn a loyal following in northern gardens, where a dependable homegrown white peach can be difficult to find. For shoppers seeking history, hardiness, and gentle white-peach sweetness in one tree, Polly offers a distinctive opportunity to grow fruit adapted to places peaches do not always thrive. Plant Polly in full sun with well-drained soil and good airflow. Its long winter dormancy makes it best suited to cold-winter locations; prune annually and thin developing fruit for a balanced crop. Polly is self-fruitful and capable of producing alone. Another compatible peach may encourage pollinator activity and support fruit set.
