The two panels meet at a horizontal seam at the hip, finished with a wide band of black floral lace — approximately 4cm wide, worked in a large-bloom floral and leaf cut-through design — that runs the full circumference of the abaya at the join, with a natural fringe edge along the lower border of the lace for a soft, artisanal finish.
