POL137JR Polyhedroid Agate Specimen

This polished Polyhedroid Agate specimen features alternating bands of crystal and agate, in translucent, blue-grey, which open to a crystalline vug in the center. 6.3cm x 4.1cm polished surface, 4.2cm deep 2.6oz Polyhedroid Agates were found in Paraiba, Brazil, but are now unavailable. They are a pseudomorphic formation of agate, believed to have formed in the negative space between large crystals of calcite or aragonite. They uniquely feature naturally flat surfaces in a variety of angles.
