PN7003 = Shallow Round Embosser 1/8'' Chasing Tool by Saign Charlestein

Shallow Round Embosser Chasing Tool 1/8" by Saign Charlestein A beautifully finished chasing tool. Made from A-1 tool steel and kiln heat treated to a hardness of 60 hRc, it is then precisely polished and shipped with a coating of wax to protect the surface from the elements. The result is arguably one of the most beautiful tools you will purchase. The shallow round embosser has a slight crown and will leave shallow round depressions on your chasing and repousse piece. It is great for pushing large areas, planishing concave surfaces, and adding a fine "hammered texture" to your piece. Each tool is 1/8" in diameter and 4-3/8" long. The length will not only accommodate larger hands, but can make the tools more versatile on larger work pieces. The 1/8" tools are Saign's "XS" size. They are for the finest detail great for jewelry, but can be useful for any artist doing chasing and repousse. Note: Tools can be slightly altered by the user if to meet personal preference. If you do so,DO NOT exceed 500°F (260°C) in temperature or heat the tools to they point that they change color.
