Purgatorium (NKJV)

Jesus] had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on High.” 1 Peter 3:18 reads, “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to to God.” It is true—all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God (Romans 3:23). But the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus (Romans 6:23), which is not by our works or efforts (Ephesians 2:8-9). Jesus said in John 5:24, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” Christ purged our sins when He died for our sins, then He was buried, was raised the third day, and appeared to the twelve disciples (1 Corinthians 15:3-5).
