Down On Your Luck? (NIV)

Down on your luck? “What makes you think that?” “Just a small problem.” “No big deal.” “These are just a few minor inconveniences.” Do you ever feel like you’re not just living… ...but surviving? Are you in a downward spiral? “No place to live because no money.” “No money because no job.” “No job because no car.” “No car because no money. No money because…” Are you afraid to leave home? Are you afraid to stay home? Is your neighborhood going to pot… or rather, crack? Are you starting to crack up? “There is no way out!” “There is no hope!” Well there is hope! “Hope?” “We have put our hope in the living God (Jesus), who is the Savior of all men…” (1 Timothy 4:10 From the Bible) “How can I put my hope in God when there is so much evil all around? And even I’m not perfect!” You’re right! No one is perfect! “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) But Jesus came and died for our sins and then rose again so we can be free to place our trust in God. “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) “Lord Jesus, thank You for dying on the cross for me. I place my trust in You to be my Savior. You are my hope for eternal life, Amen.”
