PMG M800 Monoblock

The M800 is the flagship of the PMG Signature Series, and the best power amplifier PS Audio has ever built — period. Eight hundred watts of decisive, effortless authority into 8 ohms, doubling into 4. Driven from a state-of-the-art active power supply that delivers performance benefits no traditional transformer-based passive supply can match. A Class A bias of 50 watts keeps your music in the most linear region of the amplifier’s operation for 99% of normal listening, while bandwidth extending well beyond 500 kHz preserves every transient with absolute fidelity. What truly sets the M800 apart isn’t the power. It’s how that power is delivered. Distortion stays flat across the entire audible band — not minimized at one frequency at the expense of another, but uniformly low from the deepest bass to the highest treble. The M800 accomplishes this with strikingly low overall feedback, an approach that lets the music breathe without correction and lets the speakers and source disappear into the performance. Designed by Darren Myers. Engineered into production by Bob Stadtherr. Hand built in Boulder, Colorado. Sold individually. For stereo, two M800 monoblocks.
