Splash Zaiger Pluot Tree

Splash Zaiger Pluot Tree produces bright, eye-catching fruit with flavor as cheerful as its name. Small-to-medium round pluots develop yellow-orange skin splashed with red, surrounding juicy amber flesh with a candy-sweet flavor and refreshing acidity. The colorful fruit is outstanding for fresh snacking and makes a lively addition to fruit plates, salads, desserts, preserves, and cheese boards. White spring blossoms add another season of appeal before the sun-colored crop forms. Splash is especially attractive to gardeners who want a pluot that looks completely different from dark purple varieties while still delivering concentrated hybrid flavor. Developed through Zaiger Genetics’ pioneering stone-fruit breeding, it combines plum and apricot ancestry in a fruit that feels playful, accessible, and genuinely memorable when picked ripe from the tree. Splash grows standard on Myrobalan 29C rootstock and is suited to USDA zones 6–10, with a confirmed chill requirement of 400 hours or less. In suitable climates, harvest generally spans mid- to late July. Plant in full sun, thin fruit, and maintain consistent irrigation through ripening. Splash requires a compatible pollinizer. Confirmed partners include Santa Rosa Plum and Flavor Grenade Pluot.
