Pletscher Comp Zoom Adjustable Rear Mount Kickstand: 18mm Spacing, Silver

Swiss-Made Adjustable Kickstand with Spring-Dampened Movement The Pletscher Comp 18 Zoom Adjustable Rear Mount Kickstand is a premium ESGE-style rear kickstand designed and manufactured in Switzerland for reliable, long-lasting performance. Built from aluminum die-cast GD-AlSi9Cu3 with a powder-coated metallic silver finish, this kickstand combines lightweight construction with exceptional durability—weighing just 260 grams while supporting loads up to 18 kg (39.6 lbs). The standout feature of the Comp Zoom is its tool-free adjustability in 7.5mm increments, allowing precise length adjustment from 315mm to 380mm (12.4" to 15") to accommodate wheel sizes from 26" to 29". This makes it ideal for touring bikes, commuter bikes, hybrid bikes, and e-bikes where versatility and reliability are essential. The spring-loaded side movement mechanism provides smooth deployment and retraction, while the dampening system ensures controlled, quiet operation without rattling or harsh metal-on-metal contact. Designed for rear chainstay mounting with 18mm support hole spacing, this kickstand attaches securely to the bicycle frame using included stainless steel mounting hardware (M5x20 or M6x20 screws, depending on frame configuration). The hardened steel pin is zinc-plated for corrosion resistance, and the large-surface plastic kickstand shoe provides stable support on various surfaces—from asphalt to gravel—while protecting floors indoors. The fatigue-tested spring mechanism has been rigorously tested to ensure long-term reliability even under frequent daily use. Made in Switzerland with Pletscher's renowned attention to detail and quality, this kickstand represents the kind of dependable, well-engineered component that touring cyclists and commuters have trusted for decades.
