When platypuses were first discovered in 1798, British scientists thought they were a hoax created by putting parts of different animals together – webbed feet and a bill like a duck, a body like an otter and a tail like a beaver. But the joke was on them, the platypus is real and it is awesome! (From WWF.org) Our Happy Platypus is a huggable heirloom quality gift and is handmade and crafted from reclaimed sweaters with details made from eco-fi felt. Eco fi felt is made from recycled plastic bottles and the stuffing is hypoallergenic. This super soft plush is a Happy Groundhog Studio original design. Standing at approximately 10" (plus another 5” for the tail!) in length and about 8" wide, the Happy Platypus has a sweet little red heart sewn on the belly pocket for that extra touch of love. You can add a special treat like the rainbow shown, a note or gift card.  Since this is a hand-made item and made from recycled sweaters, your Happy Platypus, will vary slightly from the one pictured as they are made to order from the selection of sweaters that are available.
