Platinum 3776 Urushi Maki-e Sansui

With its detailed depiction of a traditional landscape scene, the Platinum 3776 Century Sansui fountain pen offers complex Maki-e technique at a surprisingly affordable price. Normally provided with only limited nib choices, we can offer your choice from among the full range of Platinum 14k solid gold Century nibs. Our complimentary nib tuning services ensure that your pen will have writing qualities equal to its appearance, and our optional nib customizations can add distinctiveness to your writing on the page and make this pen a valuable tool for the professional or amateur calligrapher. Platinum is a brand known for offering exceptional value, and the 3776 Century Sansui is a perfect example - with hand-applied Maki-e work over a resin cap and barrel, this pen could easily be mistaken for a writing instrument costing thousands of dollars more. Japanese landscape painting evolved out of Chinese styles to create, over a period of centuries, an approach that is uniquely Japanese. Gold and silver powder along with natural urushi lacquer are among the materials used to realize the beautifully lyrical motif. The 3776 Century Sansui is a cartridge-converter pen - it can fill using Platinum brand disposable ink cartridges, or any bottled fountain pen ink when fitted with an ink converter, provided by us free of charge. The tasteful and appropriate presentation box includes a starter ink cartridge. We are an authorized Platinum dealer.
