Alongside the torch, broken chains and shackles reflect sculptor Frédéric-Auguste Bartholdi’s original design to commemorate the end of slavery; a monument intentionally built to celebrate emancipation, relocated to her feet and obscured before completion following American funders’ rejection of Bartholdi’s vision. Finished with a custom antique nickel Denim Tears zipper. 100% Cotton. Made in Vietnam
