FAQs How can I be sure that my eclipse glasses are authentic? Because of the prevalence of fake and untested eclipse glasses on the market, it’s very important that you only purchase your eclipse eyewear from a reputable source. Since the 1990s, Rainbow Symphony has worked closely with organizations that set safety standards to ensure the highest level of safety. We even helped to create today’s safety standards, so order your solar eclipse goggles with full confidence. What are the safety guidelines when viewing a total solar eclipse? As long as you’re wearing your eclipse glasses, you’re safe. You can remove them ONLY during the full totality phase when the sun’s face is completely blocked by the moon. Even if the sun is 99% blocked, that tiny sliver of sunlight still has enough UV and IR radiation to cause eye damage. Check our eclipse safety guide to learn more. How do I make sure I’ll have the best possible solar eclipse viewing experience? There are two important factors to consider: the design of the glasses and the lenses. These solar eclipse goggles are the best option for those who want the best possible viewing experience, as the wrap around design blocks nearly all ambient light. Our black polymer lenses deliver a clear, sharp, vivid orange image of the sun. Solar eclipses only come around so often, so it’s worth getting Rainbow Symphony wrap-around eclipse glasses if you want to make the most of the moment!  Besides using the best glasses, make sure you find the perfect viewing location.
