Plant a Tree for One Dollar

When trees are planted in the right place, at the right time, and for the right reasons, they can help address many of the environmental and social challenges we face. Learn more With your help, we will: Plant trees that will combat climate change as they grow Restore critical habitat for the millions of species that depend on forests Engage local communities, stabilize livelihoods, and improve food security Overview Impact What You Get Tree Species Reforestation is one of the best ways to restore ecosystems that have been degraded or deforested. When you plant trees where they’re needed most, you provide critical support to impactful and deserving projects that may otherwise go unnoticed. Our projects work toward forest restoration, biodiversity conservation, ecological restoration, and agroforestry. They also provide community benefits such as improving local health, supporting indigenous project ownership, and encouraging sustainable income generation. Every One Tree Planted project is unique, but what holds true no matter where you go is that reforestation is about more than planting trees. As agroforestry trees grow, they provide nutritious food and sources of income for farming families. As mangroves grow, they support fisheries and shield communities from the full force of storm surges. As oak trees grow, they provide habitat for a wealth of biodiversity, improving climate change resilience and ecosystem health. In nature as in life, it’s all connected. A personalized tree certificate (see gallery) to say thanks for your donation. We'll also send you reports about the project your donation supported so that you can track the impact that your trees are having on the ground! Every tree we plant will have an impact on the surrounding ecosystem and must be selected with great care. We work with our planting partners to ensure the species we select will benefit wildlife and communities.
