Plains Coreopsis Seedlings

This cheerful heirloom perennial is a native powerhouse for the Eastern and Midwestern landscape. Standing up to three feet tall, Plains Coreopsis offers a long season of bright yellow blooms starting in the spring, making it a vibrant addition to wildflower meadows, borders, and cut-flower arrangements. It is an incredibly versatile plant; thriving in full sun to partial shade and tolerating a wide range of moisture levels, it is just as happy in a dry patch as it is performing a vital service in a rain garden or bioswale. Beyond its flexibility, this plant is a true friend to the local ecosystem. The abundant flowers act as a magnet for pollinators, providing a feast for honey bees, wild native bees, and butterflies. Even after the blooms fade, the plant continues to support wildlife by attracting birds. Whether you are restoring a prairie or just brightening a backyard corner, this low-maintenance native brings lasting color and life to the garden.
