Course Timeframe: 4 Hours Course Location: California Tactical Academy in Piru, CA Qualified Students: Pistol 1 or Course Equivalent Course Description: Ready to take your pistol game up a level? In this class, you will build upon the fundamentals and expand your capabilities with guidance and support. You will engage in the practical application of drawing and shooting with precision from a holstered position while managing recoil and maintaining situational awareness. What You’ll Learn: Belt Setup & Recommended accessories Emergency & Tactical Reload Drawing from the holster (concealed/exposed) Rapid-fire Recoil Management Practical Malfunction Clearing Target Engagement Relativity Situational awareness Introduction to movement Universal Economy of Motion/Skill How it Works: Upon submitting your order, your spot will be reserved in the class on the selected date. You will then receive an email with full details on range attire, items to bring, and where/when to meet. What to Bring: 100 Rounds of Ammunition (low ammo options are available for any course) 300 Rounds of Ammunition (Standard Ammo Option) Firearm appropriate to the class Strong-side holster that covers the trigger with appropriate belt Mag Carrier with three magazines Mag speed reloader, if available Eye & Ear Protection PPE – Gloves knee/elbow pads, if desired Weather appropriate clothing Sunscreen, pants, closed toes athletic shoes/boots, hat, long sleeves, if desired Food (Snacks + Meal) & Plenty of Liquids Notepad and paper Prescribed allergic reaction medical treatments Folding Camping Chair, if desired What’s Included Range Rental Fees – (Outdoor Multiple Person Class) Applicable steel/paper targets, barricades, or obstacles as required by the course Cooled liquid refreshments An amazing time What’s Not Included: Range Rental Fees (Private Training Session & Shooter’s Paradise of Oxnard only) Ammunition Eye & Ear Protection Firearm Firearm Accessories Cancelation Policy: Please verify your availability before booking. You may reschedule or transfer your class credit to another class/date. A cancelation or reschedule less than (5) business days before your class will forfeit your class fee. As class fees reserve your instructor’s time for the class date, no refunds will be provided for cancelations.
