Pisgah

Many of my nature paintings are a blend of familiarity with a special place and the feelings I experience when I am there. Though I may not be on-site while painting, I often supplement my fertile imagination with photos to capture certain details accurately. One of my happiest places is perched on a boulder along the Art Loeb Trail in Pisgah National Forest, gazing at Sam’s Knob and the endless, mist-covered mountains of the Blue Ridge.
