Pirate's Apprentice

Space pirates, a missing ship, a galaxy in turmoil. Anwyn Owens just wants to be a great mercenary under the legendary Veraz. No more, no less. Her world shatters when her uncle Owen, President of the League of Free Planets, is kidnapped during a secret meeting with notorious pirate captain Shan. Anwyn rushes into the unknown aboard an experimental cloaked ship with a ragtag crew, intent on rescue. Their only advantage? The element of surprise. Standing in her way is a Malvore general with a vendetta, the mysterious disappearance of another experimental ship, and evidence of the Malvore building massive weapons facilities in supposedly uninhabited systems—preparations for a war that could engulf the entire galaxy. Time is running out. The Malvore will stop at nothing to keep their secrets, including destroying anyone who discovers them. Anwyn must navigate shifting political allegiances, deadly space battles, and her own fears to rescue her uncle before it's too late. With war on the horizon, the mission becomes far more than a simple rescue. The intelligence Anwyn discovers could determine the fate of entire civilizations. Will Anwyn and her team manage to rescue her uncle and expose the hidden Malvore plot? Or will they become casualties in a brewing interstellar conflict that threatens to engulf the galaxy? LJ Dix
