Pirastro Tonica Viola String Set

Pirastro Tonica Viola Strings feature a nylon core designed to produce a lively, well-rounded sound that is perfectly balanced across all four strings. Known for their open and direct tonal character, Tonica strings respond instantly to any bowing style, rewarding both player and listener with clarity and control. These viola strings offer excellent projection and upgraded brilliance while still maintaining their characteristic warmth. Reduced background “hiss” allows for a smoother, more even tone, helping players achieve clean string crossings and refined articulation. Tonica strings also perform exceptionally well at pianissimo dynamics, offering improved control and nuance in soft passages.
