Cast-A-Way Carbon Pioneer Pan, 10" & 12"

Cast-A-Way's Pioneer pan was designed with baking in mind, making it our most versatile product. With its low profile handles, this pan easily slides between oven racks while maintaining the same stovetop properties as our skillet. The Pioneer maintains the benefits of a cast counterpart, all while being lighter and less porous. With its one piece construction, the absence of rivets and welds makes for easy cleanup. All of our pans arrive pre-seasoned, so you can enjoy them immediately - no prep required.   Cook Like a Pro! 10" Pan: Weight: 4# 6 oz Depth: 1.8" Handle Height: 3" Top diameter: 10" Bottom Diameter: 8.57" Thickness: 11 ga (.119") OAL: 12.625" Cooking area: 70 sq in 12" Pan:  The saying goes “the bigger the better”, and we tend to agree. The 12” pan family might just be our best one yet! Whether you love hosting or preparing large family dinners, our 12” pans offer more real estate for cooking your favorite dishes. The 12" models maintain the same craftsmanship you've become accustomed to in our original offerings.  Pan Depth: 2” OAL: 14.75” Handle Height: 3” Diameter at Top: 12" Diameter at Bottom: 10.38" Weight: 6# Thickness: 11ga (.119") Cooking Area: 100 sq in 100% American Made!   Cast-iron and carbon steel pans share many benefits — both are seasoned, can handle high heat while cooking, allow a chemical-free cooking surface, can be used in a variety of cooking settings, and have a long lifespan when cared for properly. However, there are a few key differences. Carbon steel pans are lighter than traditional cast-iron, making them easier to maneuver around the kitchen, and less porous, which allows a smoother cooking surface than a more textured cast-iron — this will help keep food from sticking to the pan. And while we’re here, Cast-A-Way offers the first 100% American-made carbon steel pan with pouring spouts and no rivets. This creates a more seamless look, but more importantly, food won’t be sticking in those hard-to-reach areas around the rivets for cleaning!
