Pinktober Challah

Pinktober Challah for Awareness October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and it's a cause very personal to our family.   Breast Cancer Awareness Month provides a meaningful opportunity to connect themes of healing, hope, and community, all deeply woven into Jewish life and the tradition of challah baking. Challah, which often represents nourishment—both for the body and the soul—can also symbolize the care and support offered to those affected by breast cancer. This month, sending this Pinktober challah to a survivor, someone going through treatment, their family, or just by having it on your Shabbat/dinner table, can be a way to gather in support of loved ones, raising awareness and lifting each other up. The simple act of coming together and sharing reflects the strength of community and reminds us how powerful support systems can be.
