Pink Elf Fortune Saxifrage

Pink Elf Fortune Saxifrage (Saxifraga fortunei 'Pink Elf')Pink Elf Fortune Saxifrage is a shade-loving perennial that brings a fresh burst of color right when most gardens are fading. It forms a compact mound of attractive foliage that keeps the planting looking finished, then sends up sprays of bright pink flowers in the cooler months. This is a great choice for gardeners who want dependable interest in fall and early winter without needing a large space. It also performs beautifully in containers, where the late-season bloom show feels even more special. Distinctive FeaturesThis saxifrage stands out for airy clusters of vivid pink, starry flowers that rise above a low mound of glossy foliage. Leaves often show bronze tones with darker undersides, adding depth even before bloom begins. Flowering typically arrives in late fall to early winter, providing rare seasonal color in shady areas. The habit is compact and clump-forming, usually staying about 6 to 10 inches tall and about 8 to 12 inches wide. Growing Conditions Sun: Partial shade to full shade, and bright filtered light helps keep growth full. Soil: Moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil that does not stay waterlogged.
