These colorblock mittens are like a knitted jigsaw puzzle. Worked sideways in garter stitch with a simple intarsia technique, the graphic garter stripes create a staggered, interlocking pattern on the hand. A decorative seam is used at the center of the palm, while cuff and thumb are worked circularly as “afterthoughts”. We chose a tonal combination of greys for our sample, but can think of plenty of tempting color combinations that would look just as fetching. Designer: Véronik Avery Collection: Winter 2013
