Ping G740 Irons

PING G740 Irons Maximum Forgiveness Distance The PING G740 Irons are engineered for golfers seeking the benefits of a super game-improvement design with exceptional distance, forgiveness, and consistency. Featuring a wider sole, longer blade length, and thicker topline, the G740 redistributes weight to lower the center of gravity and increase MOI. This combination promotes higher launch, faster ball speeds, and greater forgiveness across the face—especially on low-face strikes. Extreme Forgiveness Design Increased blade length, wider sole, and thicker topline enhance perimeter weighting to raise MOI and improve forgiveness on off-center hits. Dual-Camber Sole Technology The wider dual-camber sole positions the center of gravity lower and deeper while improving turf interaction for easier entry and exit through the ground. Thin Flexible Face A thin face construction maximizes ball speed while maintaining consistent launch conditions across the hitting area. PurFlex Cavity Badge A three-piece PurFlex cavity badge enhances feel and sound while reducing unwanted vibrations for a more pleasing impact experience. Progressive Performance Design The 5- and 6-irons feature longer shaft progression to help golfers launch long irons higher and achieve greater carry distance.
