Their work does more than create beautiful pillows and table runners—it fosters dignity, self-respect, and opportunities for growth. About the Artist From an early age, art and design have always been Heather Bancroft’s passion.  I’m constantly inspired by the world around me, especially nature, said Bancroft. It seemed fitting to draw something organic in form to fit a perfect square. Searching for balance, so that the two could coexist in harmony. Heather received her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, where she majored in Graphic Design. For the last 20 years, she has been able to express her creativity as the Creative Director for a beauty and wellness company. About the Artisan Maria Ordonez is 42 years old and lives in the rural community of Santa Cruz Abajo outside the Honduran capital city of Tegucigalpa.  She has been working with Honduras Threads for 9 years.
