Pig Table

The Moooi Pig Table is absolutely the kind of piece that stops conversations the moment someone walks into your room - and that's exactly the point. Front Design created this life-sized pig back in 2006, and honestly, it's still one of those "love it or hate it" pieces that divides people instantly. But if you're drawn to furniture that tells a story and refuses to blend into the background, this black polyester beauty delivers in spades. The attention to detail is incredible - from the realistic proportions to those signature Moooi "beauty spots" and smiley logo that somehow make the whole thing feel both cheeky and sophisticated. The circular tray balanced on the pig's back isn't just for show either; at 23.6 inches across, it's actually a functional side table that works perfectly for drinks, books, or whatever you need within arm's reach. What's brilliant about the Pig Table is how it manages to be both conversation starter and genuinely useful furniture. The tray is adjustable and can rotate, which means you can fine-tune the angle depending on your seating arrangement or if your floor isn't perfectly level. At about 32 pounds, it's substantial enough to feel quality-made but not so heavy that repositioning becomes a major project. The polyester construction with ABS plastic top means it's built to handle daily use while maintaining that glossy finish that makes the whole piece pop. It's part of Front's three-piece animal collection for Moooi, but the pig definitely has the most personality - there's something endearing about having a life-sized farm animal serving as your side table that just works in the right space. Moooi has built its reputation on pieces that challenge conventional furniture expectations, and the Pig Table perfectly embodies this philosophy. Founded by Marcel Wanders and Casper Vissers, the Dutch company consistently works with designers who aren't afraid to blur the lines between art and functionality. Front Design's collaboration with Moooi showcases this approach beautifully - taking something as unexpected as a pig and turning it into sophisticated furniture that somehow makes perfect sense once you live with it. Along with their innovative lighting, seating, and accessories, Moooi creates pieces that transform spaces through genuine character and storytelling, helping you build environments that reflect personality rather than just following safe design rules.
