"Pier Top View", part of my Love Letter to the Forgotten Coast, was painted with my husband, daughters and BFF's family at Alligator Point. With our families playing on the beach and dolphins swimming by, from a photo I watched my best friend's husband capture with his smart phone aimed carefully at this handsome seagull posing atop the pole that formally supported a pier. It was the beginning of Spring Break, and we all felt the glow of the season, including this guy. Isn't he adorable?
