Everything you need to dial in your paddle's feel, protect it, and keep it performing like new — bundled together and priced 20% lower than buying each piece separately. The Pro Paddle Optimization Kit brings together five of CRBN Pickleball's most essential customization and maintenance tools in one order, so you can fine-tune your paddle's balance, lock in your grip, and keep your gear tournament-ready. What's Included: CRBN Counter Coins (choose 6g or 12g) — Precision brass coins that shift weight toward the handle for faster hands, better stability, and quicker flicks at the net. CRBN DryTec™ Overgrips (4-Pack) — Tacky, moisture-wicking grips that keep your hands locked in through the longest rallies, rain or sweat. CRBN Lead Tape Strips — 12 pre-cut, USAP-approved 3g strips that expand your sweet spot and let you dial in swing weight with zero guesswork. CRBN Paddle Eraser™ — The original carbon-fiber cleaner. A few swipes lifts ball-fiber buildup and restores your paddle's grit and spin. CRBN Protective Edge Guard Tape (4-Pack) (choose 12/14mm or 16mm) — Sawtooth-corner design that hugs your paddle's edge and shields it from chips, cracks, and mishits. Built for Players Who Take Their Setup Seriously This kit covers the full range of paddle customization: power and balance (Counter Coins, Lead Tape Strips), grip and control (DryTec Overgrips), and protection and upkeep (Edge Guard Tape, Paddle Eraser). Whether you're chasing more pop, a cleaner hand feel, or just want your paddle to last longer, it's all here. How to optimize your pickleball paddle Clean the face first. Use the CRBN Paddle Eraser to remove ball fiber buildup before you add tape or coins. A clean surface holds tape better and grips the ball more. Protect the edges. Apply the edge guard tape around the paddle's rim. This stops chips from spreading and adds a small amount of weight at the perimeter. Add weight where you need it. Use lead tape or counter coins near the top of the paddle for more power, or near the throat for more control and hand speed. Regrip the handle. Wrap a DryTec overgrip over your factory grip for a fresh, sweat-resistant surface. Test and adjust. Play a session, then add or remove weight in 1 to 3 gram increments until the paddle feels right. Why customize your paddle Every paddle ships with the same weight and balance for every player. Your swing, grip strength, and game style are not the same as the next player's. A few grams of lead tape near the top of the paddle adds power on drives. The same weight near the throat adds control at the net. Most players start with 2 to 6 grams total and adjust from there. Built for tournament play All lead tape and coin weights in this kit meet USA Pickleball equipment rules. Add weight to your paddle without risking a rules violation at your next tournament. FAQ How do I add weight to a pickleball paddle? Stick lead tape or brass coins onto the paddle face, edge, or throat. Add small amounts, 3 grams at a time, and test between each addition. Weight near the top adds power. Weight near the throat adds control. Where should I put lead tape on my pickleball paddle? Put it near the top of the paddle for more power on drives and serves. Put it near the throat or handle for more control and faster hands at the net. Avoid loading up one side, it throws off your swing. Is lead tape legal in tournament pickleball? Yes. USA Pickleball allows players to modify paddle weight with tape as long as the paddle model stays on the approved equipment list. CRBN lead tape strips are USAP-approved. How often should I replace my paddle's edge guard tape? Replace it when it starts peeling, cracking, or no longer covers the rim. Most players replace edge tape every 3 to 6 months with regular play. How do I clean a carbon fiber pickleball paddle? Wipe the face with the CRBN Paddle Eraser to remove ball fiber and dirt buildup. Do this every few sessions to keep your spin and grip consistent. Skip water and harsh cleaners on the face. What's included in the CRBN Pickleball Paddle Optimization Kit? Counter coins (6g or 12g), DryTec overgrips (4-pack), lead tape strips (12 pre-cut, 3g strips), a Paddle Eraser, and edge guard tape (4-pack).
