Pick-Up Sampler Cloths

Discover the creative possibilities of pick-up sticks with this fun and educational sampler project! Designed for rigid heddle weavers who are comfortable with plain weave, this pattern will introduce you to a variety of pick-up stick techniques through six unique sampler cloths. Pick-up sticks may look intimidating, but they're easier than they appear. By making small changes from one cloth to the next, you'll see exactly how different structures are created and gain confidence using pick-up sticks in future projects. Along the way, you'll explore warp floats, weft floats, waffle weave, and the use of multiple pick-up sticks together. The finished cloths are soft enough for faces, sturdy enough for dishes, and perfect for sampling new techniques.
