Pick-Me-Up - House Blend

Greater Goods Roasting's Pick-Me-Up is the house blend that doesn't apologize for being approachable. Built on a foundation of sustainably sourced Ethiopian and Fairtrade Organic Colombian beans, this medium roast strikes that rare balance: complex enough to keep specialty coffee enthusiasts interested, friendly enough to welcome newcomers without intimidation. The Ethiopian component brings brightness and fruit-forward complexity—think chocolate-covered strawberries and blueberries—while the Colombian base anchors everything with honeyed sweetness and a velvety body that feels luxurious on the palate. The finish is clean and gently lingering, with just enough acidity to keep things lively without tipping into sharpness. Tasting Notes The cup opens with prominent notes of chocolate-covered berries, transitioning into a honey-sweet middle that coats the palate. Body is medium to full, rounded and smooth without being heavy. Acidity is balanced and juicy—present but not aggressive—making this an all-day drinker that won't fatigue your palate. The natural-processed Ethiopian beans contribute floral aromatics and berry complexity, while the washed Colombian coffee provides structure, sweetness, and that signature velvety mouthfeel. Brew Methods Pick-Me-Up was designed with drip coffee in mind, and it absolutely delivers in automatic brewers—this is the bean that turns your morning routine into a ritual worth waking up for. It also excels in pour-over methods like V60 or Kalita Wave, where you can tease out more of those Ethiopian fruit notes with slight adjustments to your water temperature and pour rate. French press brings out the chocolate and body beautifully, creating an almost dessert-like cup. While not specifically roasted for espresso, it pulls surprisingly well as a milk-based drink, offering balanced sweetness and enough body to stand up to steamed milk.
