Created for the Gewerbemuseum Basel in 1981, this exhibition poster marked the 100th anniversary of Picasso’s birth with a vibrant tribute to his graphic work. Designed by Armin Vogt, the poster reinterprets one of Picasso’s 1966 drawings for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, bringing its playful color and handwritten energy into a bold new context. The exhibition featured a wide selection of Picasso’s posters from the Kurt Jonas collection, many of which were printed by the renowned Mourlot atelier in Paris. Vogt’s design echoes the expressive quality of Picasso’s later works, where posters became an extension of his creative language rather than just promotional tools. An original piece of exhibition history, this poster bridges the worlds of museum design and modernist printmaking. A great addition for collectors of Picasso, graphic design, or twentieth-century art ephemera. Size: 50.5" x 35.5" Artist: Armin Vogt Condition: Very Good, Age-appropriate wear, fading and toning. Minor border wear. Please use the photo zoom feature to get a better understanding of overall condition. *Additional photos available upon request.
