Photosensitive Resistor Sensor Module (KY-018 Class)

TeknoCrafters FA3041 Photosensitive Resistor Sensor Module (KY-018 Class) The TeknoCrafters FA3041 is a compact and efficient photosensitive resistor sensor module, modeled after the KY-018 platform. It integrates a light-dependent resistor (LDR) and a 10kΩ fixed resistor to form a voltage divider circuit, providing an analog voltage output that varies with light intensity. This module is ideal for applications requiring ambient light detection and is compatible with microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, and ESP8266. For Raspberry Pi users, an external analog-to-digital converter (ADC) is necessary due to the lack of native analog input. Tri-Tek Electronics, located in Mesa, Arizona, is an authorized distributor of TeknoCrafters products. We ensure full manufacturer warranty coverage, competitive pricing, and direct factory support. Our retail location serves customers in Phoenix, Chandler, Tempe, Gilbert, Scottsdale, Glendale, and surrounding areas. Features Sensor Type: Light-dependent resistor (LDR) Operating Voltage: 3.3V to 5V Output Type: Analog voltage Fixed Resistor: 10kΩ Dimensions: Approximately 21mm x 15mm x 6mm Pin Configuration: S (Signal): Analog output VCC: Power supply (3.3V to 5V) GND: Ground Example Applications Ambient Light Detection: Automatically adjust lighting systems based on ambient light levels. Security Systems: Detect changes in light intensity to monitor for unauthorized entry. Consumer Electronics: Implement automatic brightness control in displays and indicators. DIY Projects: Create interactive installations that respond to light changes. Educational Tools: Demonstrate principles of light-dependent resistance in physics experiments. Installation Example In a typical Arduino setup, connect the FA3041 module as follows: Signal (S): Connect to analog input pin A0 VCC: Connect to +5V power supply GND: Connect to ground This configuration allows the Arduino to read analog voltage changes corresponding to variations in light intensity, enabling real-time monitoring and control in various applications.
