Loaded with porcini pieces for a mushroom-based umami foundation, this instant broth seasoning is layered with black cardamom, long pepper, and star anise to deliver authentic pho flavor without hours of simmering. Each packet creates two quarts of ready-to-serve soup base—simply combine it with your preferred stock or bone broth, simmer for thirty minutes, then strain and pour over noodles and your choice of protein. Home cooks chasing takeaway-style pho on busy weeknights Meal preprocessors building fast, scalable protein-and-noodle routines Spice collectors expanding their pantry beyond standard grilling rubs Hosts needing consistent, crowd-sourced soup foundations for potlucks FAQ How much liquid do I need to combine with one packet? One packet is formulated to produce exactly two quarts when mixed with store-bought stock, homemade bone broth, or plain water. Do I have to strain the finished soup? Yes. Straining is required after simmering to remove the whole black cardamom, long pepper, star anise, and porcini pieces, leaving you with a smooth, sip-friendly broth. Can I swap beef stock for chicken or vegetable broth? Absolutely. The aromatic spice blend works beautifully with poultry, vegetarian, or vegan stocks for lighter pho variations. Is this broth inherently spicy or fiery? The formula relies on warm, earthy aromatics rather than intense heat. Control the spice level yourself by adding chili crisp or sriracha directly at the table.
