Phlox paniculata 'Robert Poore' Garden Phlox

Phlox paniculata 'Robert Poore' produces deep rosy purple, lightly fragrant flowers throughout the summer. Its attractive new foliage is tinted burgundy. Phlox 'Robert Poore' is very mildew resistant, making it a long-standing perennial garden favorite. It will gradually form large showy clumps that attract butterflies and other pollinators. Also called Garden or Summer Phlox, Phlox paniculata is native from Maine to Georgia and west to Minnesota and Louisiana. Typically found in woodland clearings or moist meadows, it is uncommon in the wild, but its cultivars are perennial garden favorites. Phlox paniculata 'Robert Poore' prefers full sun and consistently moist, well-drained soil. Remove faded flowers to prevent self-sowing and to encourage re-blooming.
