Philodendron verrucosum 'Black'

Philodendron verrucosum 'Black' Fresh cutting as seen in the photo. Each cutting is selected with the necessary stem, node, rhizome, or growth mass required for propagation. Philodendron verrucosum 'Black' is a distinctive dark cultivated form of Philodendron verrucosum prized for its velvety foliage, prominent veining, and rich green to nearly black coloration under certain growing conditions. Its dramatic appearance, compact growth habit, and appreciation for high humidity make it a favorite among terrarium enthusiasts and aroid collectors. Mature Size: Vines can exceed 2–4+ ft (0.6–1.2+ m) indoors with proper support, with foliage often remaining more compact than standard forms of Philodendron verrucosum under terrarium and indoor growing conditions. Difficulty: Moderate Rarity: Very Rare ⭐⭐⭐⭐   Plant Care Light: Bright, indirect light; tolerates medium light, though coloration may appear darker under lower light conditions. Water: Water when the top 1–2 in. (2.5–5 cm) of soil feels dry. Humidity: Prefers high humidity (70%+). Temperature: Prefers 65–80°F (18–27°C). Soil: Well-draining aroid mix rich in organic matter.   Propagation Philodendron verrucosum 'Black' is readily propagated from stem cuttings containing at least one node. Because it is a cultivated dark form, propagation by cuttings preserves the distinctive foliage coloration and growth characteristics of the parent plant. Place cuttings in water, sphagnum moss, or a well-draining substrate until roots develop, then pot into an aroid mix.   Safe Arrival Guarantee Your order is packed carefully.
