Philodendron El Choco Red – Tissue Culture | Gellies Club A distinctive choice for the seasoned collector, the Philodendron El Choco Red is revered for its deep, velvety foliage with striking red undersides. As it matures, this variety can develop broad, heart-shaped leaves that captivate with their rich hues and unique texture. What You Receive 10-Pack Philodendron El Choco Red tissue culture plantlets sealed in sterile culture media. Plantlets may range from newly established cultures to larger, well-rooted specimens depending on the production batch. Size and root development will vary — this is normal for TC and not an indicator of plant health. How Gellies Works We operate on a made-to-order import model. When you place your order, we bring your plants in fresh from our lab partners in Asia. Plants ship from Florida shortly after arrival, minimizing storage time and helping ensure healthy, vigorous cultures. We import weekly, allowing us to offer fresh tissue cultures without long-term holding periods. For Growers and Resellers The El Choco Red is in high demand among plant enthusiasts, making it a valuable addition to any collection or inventory. Tissue culture plantlets offer a cost-effective way to cultivate this sought-after variety, with the potential for high returns as they mature. Acclimation For successful acclimation from tissue culture, maintain 60-70% humidity, warm temperatures, and bright indirect light. Philodendrons like the El Choco Red root aggressively out of TC, offering a more forgiving acclimation process compared to many other genera. Avoid cold drafts and overwatering in the first few weeks to ensure optimal growth.
