Phi Maestro 2

MAESTRO 2 TECHNICAL FEATURES After plenty of simulated drafts and prototypes, we came up with a highly complex concept to reach an unmatched clean surface and a very high form stability. The increased high cell number (76 cells over 60 of the predecessor) in combination with the optimized 3D shaping, the new form stable rod materials and the additional mini-ribs in the leading edge are offering a clear reduction of wrinkles in the critical high airspeed / lift section of the wing. With the new rod materials and leading edge mini-ribs the stability at speed is exceptional. Couple this with the R07 riser and you have a gliding machine! The result is not only better performance at all speeds. The air stream separation over the sail is much later: the maximum lift is higher, the flyable angle of attack bigger: the low speed flying excellent, the handling more forgiving (longer brake travel) and as a result of that the thermaling ability is on a new level. We kept on optimizing and finally reached new levels of the famous safety / performance ratio. During this process of optimization, we proved every design element for its need: we eliminated most of the trailing edge miniribs, the bottom sail rods and the rods in the wingtips. So finally, the MAESTRO 2 is just a little heavier than its predecessor and still reasonable in price. The reduction of rods allows for a smaller packing volume. The MAESTRO 2 has rods only where they are really needed. MAESTRO 2 DESIGNER’S NOTE We did it again! Thanks to Benni, Mike, Idris and Pascal for their great testing and trimming work. Thanks to Chris and Hilde for the fast and precise sewing modification work on the prototypes! Thanks to our fabulous factory Aerodynamics for their effort to supply plenty of prototypes in short time! High B has always been my passion and special discipline. I managed to build many reference wings in that class: CARBON ARTAX MAMBOO MENTOR 1 MENTOR 2 MENTOR 3 -then, after an involuntary break, the spectacular comeback with the MAESTRO. -and now, continuing this unique tradition, the MAESTRO 2. The new benchmark! It is not only the high complexity of this wing with its 76 cells and additional mini-ribs, offering an extreme smooth finish. It’s not only its breathtaking performance in thermaling, gliding and speed. It’s the balance. The handling and the feeling of being one with this outstanding wing! Hannes Papesh MAESTRO 2 RISERS The MAESTRO 2 is delivered with the semi-light C handle riser R07 (Smart riser steering). It is a straightforward and very clean design with the target to reach easy handling and good length stability.
