These are the last New Crystals for 2026. There is not a lot of newer production happening since 2020, The mines have been going since the 1960s and many of the shafts are very deep now. Location : Carnaiba Emerald Mining District, Bahia, Brazil These Phenaktie Crystals can get very big and well formed, from small to over 10 kilos. They have a silver / grey / white look to them, and are opaque. Gem Quality from this location is very rare. Many exhibit black Mica Schist - the matrix these grow on, that the area is famous for, and some even contain traces of Green which is Emerald crystals or Dissolved Emerald. I recommend getting a flashlight to play with these. Brazilian crystals are the most affordable Phenakite crystals on the market. We offer the most competitive pricing available, direct from the source. Phenakite (also spelled Phenacite) is a very scarce stone - one of the rarest crystals on earth. Very little production occurs worldwide. Phenakite is a very rare Beryllium Orthosilicate, Be2 SiO4 mineral composition found in high pressure pegmatite veins.
