Phebe Vinson Bush Lima Bean

About 75 days to maturity.  Phebe Vinson is a high yield bush lima bean (meaning it doesn't have a vining habit and doesn't require a trellis) with truly beautiful seed coats that are purple speckled with tan like stars in the night. Bush lima beans are a great option for folks with smaller garden spaces that still want plant-based protein.  Direct seed 1 to 2 weeks after last frost when the soil has warmed a bit. Keep the beans well weeded to increase overall yields. Harvest pods as they turn tan and brown for dry beans or while pods are still green for butterbeans.  50 seeds per packet.  Seed Source Information: Lot # ACG-UT-1556-2025: Grown at Allen Centennial Gardens in Madison, WI in 2025.
